Glenview administrator keeps job after DUI charge

GLENVIEW – A top Glenview administrator will remain a village employee after his arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Joseph Kenney, Glenview’s director of capital projects and inspectional services, was charged at 12:20 a.m. Dec. 12 with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use on the 2300 block of Waukegan Road.

Donald Owen, village deputy manager, said an internal investigation was protocol for such incidents.

“The internal investigation is complete and no issues were discovered that would affect Mr. Kenney’s employment status,” he said. “The remaining charge is now solely a private matter that Mr. Kenney is handling.”

Kenney, 36, of 864 Osterman Ave., Deerfield, was released on a $1,000 cash bond. His court date was set for Jan. 18.
