Chemistry student scores top honor

A Glenbrook South junior earned second place in the American Chemical Society exam. Below is more information:

This summer, Glenbrook South junior Doug Stryker beat out the state’s top chemistry students to earn second place in the American Chemical Society exam. 

Stryker advanced through various levels of the test after being nominated by his Chemistry teacher James Glynn.  The ACS test was administered at Loyola University to the top 78 students from the area.  Stryker earned a $3000 scholarship for his achievement.

Junior Vinayak Ahluwalia also received an honorable mention for his performance on the exam.
