St. Catherine Labouré School celebrates first day of school

St. Catherine Laboure School celebrated its first day of school on August 25, as students from preschool to 8th grade enjoyed the day. Below is a press release with more information:

On August 25th, St. Catherine Labouré School opened its doors for the 2014-2015 school year.  Excitement was in the air as students from Preschool to 8th grade entered their classrooms, met their teachers, and reconnected with old friends.  Mr. Adam Dufault, the new principal, was outside early in the morning greeting students as they arrived.

Teachers and students alike are looking forward to the new year.  “There is a great feeling of enthusiasm in the air today,” Dufault said.  “Our families are anticipating a spectacular new year filled with learning.   We are especially excited about our newly renovated Technology Library, which will do much to enhance the educational experience of our students, and our expanded Spanish classes.  All students from Preschool through 8th grades will now have Spanish language lessons.”

St. Catherine Labouré students have a great school year planned for them.  In addition to a highly qualified, experienced staff of teachers, low classes sizes, and religious instruction, students also take art, music, Spanish, technology, and P.E. classes.  Opportunities for choir, band, and athletics are available for all students.  The school also runs a Before Care program and an After Care program until 6:00 pm.

St. Catherine Labouré School is still accepting new students for this school year.  The school offers a Catholic education with outstanding academic preparation for high school success in a diverse, safe atmosphere that provides small class sizes and individual attention for each student.  If you are interested in enrolling, please call the school at (847) 724-2240.  Please see www.sclschool-glenview.org for more information.
