Girls Basketball: Glenbrook South finally solves Loyd, Wolves
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Glenbrook South’s best player and team leader Colleen McDonagh left the game and the building with an injured wrist late in the second quarter Tuesday. The third-seeded Titans made sure McDonagh has at least a chance to continue her career with their 48-46 win over second-seeded Niles West in the sectional semifinals at New Trier.

Girls Basketball: Loyola’s Kriz delivers knock-out punch to Maine South
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Lauren Kriz looked like she was punched in the face. Her bruised left eye came courtesy of an elbow last week in Loyola’s regional championsip win over Evanston. Tuesday, it was the Loyola senior who delivered the knockout blows in the Ramblers’ 42-25 win over top-seeded Maine South in the semifinals of the New Trier Sectional.

BOYS SWIMMING: One of the top races at the Glenbrook North Sectional lived up to its billing. Glenbrook South and Conant kicked off the state series Saturday by both breaking the pool record in the 200-yard medley.
