Two Costco store employees in Glenview were transported to Glenbrook Hospital Saturday when a freon line leading into a cake cooler was punctured.
At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Glenview Fire Department personnel arrived at the store, 2900 Patriot Blvd., where a customer evacuation was underway.
Crews shut down the Freon pipe, and the Glenview Health Department arrived to supervise a cleanup.
The store reopened at 4 p.m., but store employees would not comment on the incident Saturday.
The estimated loss was unknown, according to a fire department release.
