The Glenview Police Department is investigating whether three men in custody in Chicago, charged with burglaries, also were involved in similar crimes in the village.
Glenview officers participated in gathering surveillance on Brian David, of Mazon, Ill.; Richard Green, Chicago and Frank Obrochta, Melrose Park, who were arrested Jan. 27 on Chicago’s northwest side. Each was charged with two counts of burglary for alleged home break-ins in Addison and unincorporated DuPage County near Itasca.
They were followed to a Chicago house and arrested. After obtaining a search warrant officers searched the home and located stolen property.
In a separate case, Glenview police assisted Illinois State Police in the arrest of Jeffrey Levin of Wauconda following investigations the week of Jan. 22.
He and Christie Partipilo, also of Wauconda, were the focus of a burglary in Deer Park earlier February.
Both have been charged in the incident, and property was recovered at a pawnshop.
Information on Levin’s alleged burglaries was learned through a Glenview resident, stated Glenview police, who are investigating whether he was involved in village burglaries.
