Glenview New Church hosted a first-ever winter Farmers Market Saturday.
The church hosted the market for the benefit of Faith in Place, an interfaith environmental organization in Chicago, which sponsors the winter markets at places throughout the metropolitan area. Midwestern farmers sell cheese, meat, poultry, syrup, honey, raw fibers, vinegars, dried fruits, milled flours, sauces and salsas. Other items will be soap, wool, preserves, cider and fresh produce.
