The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Glenview Police Department. Readers are reminded an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
BATTERY
Boris Goldberg, 59, of Poplar Drive, Wheeling, was charged at 2 p.m. Feb. 13 with battery and retail theft on the 1900 block of Tower Drive. His court date is March 8.
THEFT
Merry Clift, 41, of 522 W. 500 North, Salt Lake City, and Elaine Gibson, 63, of 296 Walnut Road, Wheeling, were charged at 3:57 p.m. Feb. 14 with retail theft on the 2200 block of Willow Road. Clift’s court date is March 8, and Gibson was transported Feb. 15 for a court bond hearing.
A customer’s phone was stolen at 9 p.m. Feb. 7 at a restaurant on the 1800 block of Tower Road. Loss was $400.
Jewelry was stolen between July 2011 and February 2012 from a home on the 800 block of Lenox Road. Loss was $9,000.
Kathleen Berman, 63, of 208 Beech St., Highland Park, was charged at 3:58 p.m. Feb. 18 with retail theft on the 2200 block of Patriot Boulevard. Her court date is March 8.
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
Three men at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 7 were slowly driving a silver car and seemed to be filming homes with a handheld video recorder on the 1300 block of Sleepy Hollow Road.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON
A man said he needed to enter a home at 1:40 p.m. Feb. 13 to check on a neighbor’s water line, but was denied access. No work was being done in the area.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
A home’s window and locks were broken between Feb. 3 and Feb. 10 on the 1600 block of Joy Lane. Loss was $300.
DRUGS
Sean Russell, 19, of 4151 Williamsburg Court, No. 201, Glenview, was cited at 9:43 p.m. Feb. 8 for possession of marijuana on the 4100 block of Cove Lane.
Katherine Karls, 23, of 1420 Pendleton Lane, Glenview, was charged at 8 p.m. Feb. 17 with possession of a controlled substance and retail theft on the 1900 block of Patriot Boulevard. She was transported Feb. 20 to bond court.
