Glenview to spray for mosquitoes Thursday night

GLENVIEW – Portions of east Glenview will be treated for adult mosquitoes beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, and ending at 2 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24. The treatment is being done after a 74-year-old Glenview resident was diagnosed with West Nile earlier this month.

The North Shore Mosquito Abatement District will conduct the treatment.

The areas being sprayed include Old Orchard Road to Lake Avenue, with Harms Road as the west border and Hibbard Road as the east border, and Lake Avenue to Winnetka Road, with Sunset Ridge Road as the west border and Wilmette city limits as the east border.

The city urges residents to eliminate any source of standing water on their properties.
