Roadwork slated Sunday for Shermer

NORTHBROOK — Metra will conduct repair work Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Shermer Road crossing in Downtown Northbrook.
The work involves re-setting rails and replacing portions of the rubberized panels, said Cheryl Fayne-dePersio, Northbrook’s communications manager.
One lane of Shermer Road will be closed, while crews perform the work between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Metra personnel will conduct traffic control at the crossing, so a detour will not be necessary. This may cause slight delays, so motorists should be aware of this when planning travel time.
