Gamble for a great cause
How about playing some blackjack, craps, and roulette while helping to raise money for the OLPH Church charities? The OLPH Men’s Club is hosting “Big Night II.” Enjoy a night of live gaming, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, and raffle tickets for amazing prizes! Adults only. When: 7 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday. Owls and hawks
Take a trail walk on the prairie while learning about owls, hawks and other raptors. Find out how to spot them in your own backyard and learn why they’re so important to our ecosystem. ADHD workshop
Does your child have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder? If so, attend this two day intensive parent to parent workshop where parents of ADHD children will give you an overview of ADHD, discuss evaluation and treatment, talk about the impact on families, offer parenting strategies and more. Help kids in Japan
Hey kids! Spend the afternoon making a picture dictionary for a special needs elementary school student in Japan! You’ll use old magazines and scrapbooking techniques to create a personalized book for each student. You’ll also write a letter to the student and include your photo. Jazzathon at GBS
Pop in to a special Jazzercise class being held at Glenbrook South High School. Have fun while getting a total body workout that includes cardio, strength and stretching. Make Super Bowl treats
Hey kids! Want to learn how to make some great food for the Super Bowl? Another great fundraiser
Attend the Optimist Club of Glenview’s 4th annual Friend of Youth Fundraiser. Enjoy dinner, a silent auction, an art auction, and the music of “The Not For Profit Band” while you help raise money for various children’s causes, including Youth Services, Children’s Cancer, and High School Scholarship programs.
