Thanks Glenview!
The 39th annual Glenview Chamber of Commerce Summer Fest was a great success in spite of the heat! On behalf of the Chamber, I want to thank those who helped make the event special again this year. Kudos to our wonderful Glenview residents and those from our surrounding communities, who came out in droves to enjoy the family entertainment, great food and wonderful wares offered by our wide variety of vendors.
Once again the Glenview Police Department insured the safety of our attendees, vendors and volunteers as we prepared for and participated in the Fest. They, along with the amazing team in the Village of Glenview Public Works department, were there at 4:30 a.m. until that last vendor was off the street at 5:30 p.m. Lastly, we could not have done this without the hard work of our Chamber volunteers and staff — most especially Jim Martin, 2012 chairman and Elizabeth Fritz.
The Chamber enjoys hosting the Summer Fest, it helps showcase our local vendors and reminds residents of the wonderful resources here in Glenview — shopping local keeps your tax dollars in our community and builds that spirit that makes Glenview special. See you next year — our 40th!
