Girls Basketball: Glenbrook South girls coach Weissenstein honored by IBCA

Glenbrook South girls head basketball coach Steve Weissenstein was named the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association 3A/4A District 4 Coach of the Year. He will be honored Saturday at a banquet at Illinois State University.
The Titans last winter placed fourth in the CSL South, second at the Schaumburg Thanksgiving Tournament and second at the Wheaton Holiday Tourney, then captured their third consecutive regional title to advance to the Sweet 16 of the Class 4A state tournament. The Titans finished 23-8, improving Weissenstein’s career record to 386-263.
