Glenbrook South senior boys lacrosse player Cam Irwin has verbally committed to play for NCAA Division III power Tufts University, according to his mother, Cathy Irwin. Cam Irwin is coming off a junior season in which he was named first-team all-Central Suburban League as an attacker.
Tufts, located in Medford, Mass., won a NCAA national lacrosse title in 2010, and finished runner-up in ’11. In addition, the Jumbos lost in the national semifinals in May.
Cam Irwin committed to the school about two weeks ago.
