Long-standing record falls

Glenbrook South seniors Malcolm Engel and Austin Dickholtz both broke the school record in the indoor 400-meter run.
Engel now holds the record after crossing the finish line in 51.3 seconds Friday in a meet at Glenbrook South. Dickholtz finished in 52.3 at the same meet.
Jonathan Novotny held the old record of 52.7. Novotny’s mark had stood since 1996. Novotny now works in the Glenbrook South physical education department and coaches at the school.
