Hinsdale South coach Stephen Snider's comments (via email): "We haven’t had many practices yet because of the weather, but I liked what I saw. We have a fairly young team, and have a lot to improve on as the season progresses, but it will be exciting to see what we can achieve."
Fenwick highlights: The Friars went 2-2 and finished 6th. Against Quincy, Fenwick wins came No. 1 singles by sophomore Colin Fitzpatrick, No 2. singles by Jack Carey and at No. 3 doubles by Josh Burda/George Krug. Against Hinsdale South, Fenwick rallied for the win behind Burda/Nick Sagastume at No, 2 doubles, Jack Ryan at No. 1 singles, and David Prabhu at No. 2 singles.

Nazareth highlights: The Roadrunners (1-0) cristened John Michalek Field with a season-opening victory. Mary Grace Chizewski was 2-3 with a run scored and two RBI. Jessica Sauzameda delivered a 2-run single in the first. Holly Haberkorn ( 7I P, 3 H, 10 K, 2 BB) earned the win on the mound.
